In the coming weeks, Life in Mind will be sharing a series of short interviews with suicide prevention researchers, to provide the sector with an insight into the important work that is being performed across the country.

The Life in Mind team reached out to one of The Charter Champions, Suicide Prevention Australia to learn more about why they signed The Charter and how they will be operationalising it within their organisation.

The Life in Mind team has turned the lens on Connecting with People, a program in South Australia which is tackling self-harm and suicide prevention via a person-centred approach.

The Life in Mind team is taking a closer look this week at the findings from Beyond Blue’s landmark national survey Answering the call, which was released as part of the National Mental health and Wellbeing study of Police and Emergency Services.

Following the conclusion of the recent National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Suicide Prevention Conference and the World Indigenous Suicide Prevention Conference, the Life in Mind team is taking a closer look at the important work which is being done by the Centre of Best Practice in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Suicide Prevention (CBPATSISP).

As the national suicide prevention platform encouraging sector leadership, collaboration and engagement, Life in Mind is pleased to note the first recipients of the Higher Degree Research Scholarships which were announced today.

Last week Life in Mind hosted In Conversation with Professor Rory O’Connor, a thought leadership event designed to bring together the national leaders in suicide prevention and mental health to discuss and collaborate on topics affecting the sector.

This week Life in Mind are hosting a collaborative networking event, with guest speaker Professor Rory O’Connor who will be sharing key learnings and insights into suicide prevention activities in Scotland.
