Improving the wellbeing of doctors and medical students is a key enabler of quality patient care and healthier communities. This National Framework is based on available evidence and advice from doctors, doctors-in-training, medical students, mental health and suicide prevention experts and other key stakeholders.
All jurisdictions, settings, services and stakeholders must be involved to ensure immediate, sustained and coordinated action.
The development of this Framework was supported by Everymind in partnership with the medical profession and mental health leaders in Australia. It was funded by the Australian Government as part of The Prevention Hub (co-led by the Black Dog Institute and Everymind) and specific project funding for Tackling Mental Ill-Health in Doctors and Medical Students.
