Survey call out: Help shape the focus of the Lived and Living Experience Participation Forum

Posted 6th April 2022 in Sector news

The National Mental Health Commission is calling on people with lived and living experience of mental health and/or suicide, and those who care for them, to complete a survey to inform and enhance a new Lived Experience Participation Forum.

Results and feedback from the survey will be used to shape the Forum’s program and ensure a focus on the most important priorities for people with lived and living experience in Australia.

It is vital that the voice, and expertise, of lived and living experience is a central tenet of national system reform of the mental health and suicide prevention systems.

The Lived Experience Participation Forum will be hosted by the National Mental Health Commission, in conjunction with lived experience-led organisations, peak bodies and service providers, and will take place in Sydney in July.

The survey, suitable for completion either as an individual or through a collective, organisation, group or Lived and Living Experience Advisory Committee, can be accessed via the below link using each user’s email address.

If you have lived experience and would like to help shape the program, register at: https://haveyoursay.mentalhealthcommission.gov.au/hub-page/lived-experience-participation-forum

The survey closes on Friday, 29 April 2022.
