Structured Intervention Program for Suicide Attempters (SIPS)
PsychMed's Short Intervention Program for Suicide-attempters (SIPS) is a brief, structured, collaborative and client-centered program for people who have had a suicide-attempt or crisis. It provides focussed Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with exposure and narrative elements. The CBT informed interventions are directly aimed at increasing safety. This program works with people to help them identify warning signs and triggers.
Designed to help them develop long-term safety plans and short-term coping strategies with the appropriate crisis supports in place. An individual roadmap for helping you to stay safe will be produced, which can be shared with your other professionals involved in your care.
