StandBy is Australia’s leading provider of support after suicide, providing free face-to-face and telephone support to individuals, families, workplaces, groups and the wider community.
StandBy is committed to ensuring all Australians have equal access to evidenced informed, well-coordinated and timely post suicide support, and those with lived experience of suicide bereavement are central to everything they do.
Increased investment from the Australian Government Department of Health is enabling StandBy to work towards providing all Australians with universal and equitable access to postvention.
Current expansion also sees StandBy leading the NSW Post Suicide Support initiative (NSW PSS), a NSW Ministry of Health ‘Towards Zero Suicides’ initiative, in partnership with Jesuit Social Services, Roses in the Ocean and the University of New England. NSW state-wide coverage will be achieved through the NSW PSS alongside the Commonwealth funded program.
StandBy is a program of Youturn Limited and is supported by funding from the Australian Government under the National Suicide Prevention Leadership and Support Program.
