LifeSpan involves the implementation of nine evidence-based strategies simultaneously within a local community. For each strategy, LifeSpan selects and implements the interventions or programs that have the strongest evidence base. Black Dog Institute’s LifeSpan team are currently implementing Australia’s largest scientific suicide prevention research trial in four NSW sites: Newcastle, Illawarra Shoalhaven, Central Coast and Murrumbidgee. LifeSpan are also providing support and advice to 12 additional sites across Australia as part of the Commonwealth government-funded National Suicide Prevention Trials.

More information on LifeSpan, its strategies and its sites can be found on Black Dog Institute’s website.
