Community Broadcasting Suicide Prevention Project
The Community Radio Suicide Prevention Project utilises satellite and local radio broadcasting to provide delivery of suicide, mental health and well-being messages through over 420 radio stations nationwide, reaching over 6.5 million Australians each month. The project also utilises community engagement around Australia and the distribution of a monthly magazine and audio CD to promote suicide prevention, relevant services, help-seeking behaviours and well-being to a large national audience. Every six months throughout the project, specific content is provided for youth, Indigenous and CALD audiences (including information in a range of community languages).
