Wambool Aboriginal Suicide Prevention Team
The Wambool Aboriginal Suicide Prevention Team is a network of representatives from the community, government and non-government organisations who have an interest or role in suicide prevention in Western NSW.
The team are a group of Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal folk working together on the prevention of suicide. The team hold monthly meetings to keep connected and abreast of community issues, activities and currency. Wambool is a Wiradjuri word for the Macquarie River meaning meandering. The team are currently editing a community booklet with a wealth of information including risk and protective factors, discussing suicide and helpful links.
