The suite of lived experience research reports were commissioned to inform the National Suicide Prevention Taskforce Interim and Final Advice. Further research is being conducted in November 2020. This research was thematically analysed and discussed in the Compassion First report.
The cross-portfolio reports were developed in consultation with Australian states and territories to further explore effective suicide prevention interventions to inform cross-portfolio interventions.
The Supplementary Research reports were prepared for the National Suicide Prevention Adviser and the National Suicide Prevention Taskforce, commissioned through the National Suicide Prevention Research Fund, which is managed by Suicide Prevention Australia.
The National Suicide Prevention Research Fund was established by the Federal Government to support world-class research into suicide prevention and facilitate the rapid translation of knowledge into more effective services for individuals, families and communities.
