Our Voice in Action workshop - Roses in the Ocean

Lend your voice - your experience and wisdom - to support suicide prevention services better meet the needs of older people. As part of the NSW Strategic Framework for Suicide Prevention 2018-2023, Roses in the Ocean is excited to be partnering with the NSW Ministry of Health: Mental Health Branch and NSW Older People’s Mental Health (OPMH) services to bring together voices and perspectives of older people across NSW to better understand how suicide prevention services can better meet the needs of older people in communities. This important work will directly inform existing services and new services including emerging non clinical safe havens and Suicide Prevention Outreach Teams. We invite people aged 65 years and over, who have a lived experience of suicide, to submit an expression of interest to be involved in two distinct phases. Roses in the Ocean defines lived experience of suicide as having experienced suicidal thoughts, made a suicide attempt, cared for a loved one through suicidal crisis or been bereaved through suicide
