Mobilising a network of community networks to prevent suicide: Insights from the Wesley LifeForce Suicide Prevention Networks evaluation
Community-led suicide prevention approaches are an important component of national suicide prevention strategies, yet little has been known about their outcomes and effectiveness. A new study conducted by the University of Melbourne for Wesley LifeForce Suicide Prevention Networks demonstrates the success of community networks to reduce the rate of suicide by seven per cent on average.
The University of Melbourne’s Centre for Mental Health presents a free webinar highlighting key findings and insights from this recent program evaluation. Involving a series of seven studies, the study examines the impacts and outcomes of Wesley LifeForce Networks for network members and communities and the key factors underpinning effective network functioning.
