StandBy – Support after Suicide
StandBy is recognised as one of Australia’s leading suicide postvention programs dedicated to assisting people and communities impacted by suicide.
StandBy is a community-basedprogram that provides a 24/7 coordinated response to assist families, friends, frontline responders (e.g. GPs and emergency workers), workplaces, sporting teams, schools, funeral homes and witnesses who have been bereaved by or exposed to a suicide loss.
StandBy operates nationally by partnering with local organisations, engaging their expertise within the community to deliver the most effective and culturally suitable support for each individual circumstance.
Wesley LifeForce
Wesley LifeForce provides suicide prevention services that educate and empower local communities, supporting people most at risk.
headspace
headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing.
Roses in the Ocean
Roses in the Ocean was founded on, and operates through the lens of lived experience of suicide. It aims to change the way suicide is spoken about, understood and prevented.
Lifespan
LifeSpan is an innovative, evidence-based, world-class approach to suicide prevention currently being trialled in select sites in NSW, Australia. The Black Dog Institute is also providing support to the 12 PHNs selected as National Suicide Prevention Trials.

QPR Institute
The QPR mission is to reduce suicidal behaviours and save lives by providing innovative, practical and proven suicide prevention training. QPR provides suicide prevention training for individuals, groups, professionals and organisations.
Living Works Australia - ASIST
In ASIST, people learn to apply a suicide intervention model. It helps caregivers recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide and explores how to connect with them.
Mental Health First Aid Australia
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses teach mental health first aid strategies to members of the public. Mental health first aid is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of a mental health problem, or in a mental health crisis.

batyr focuses on preventative education in the area of youth mental health. It provides programs that train young people to speak about their personal experience with mental ill health and start a conversation in their community.
The Way Back
beyondblue, with Everymind, has developed resources for people who have attempted suicide and their close family and friends.
